Before a cash rummy app pays out, it checks who you are. When that check stalls, your withdrawal stalls with it. Here is what apps usually ask for, why submissions fail, and how to keep your documents safe.
What apps usually ask for
- PAN: almost always required before the first withdrawal.
- Address or ID proof: Aadhaar, voter ID, driving licence or passport. Some apps use DigiLocker or an OTP-based Aadhaar check instead of a photo.
- Bank account or UPI ID in the same name.
Why KYC gets rejected
- Blurry photo, glare, or a cropped edge on the card.
- The name on PAN differs from the bank account (initials, spelling, a married name).
- Date of birth showing you’re under 18. Cash play is for adults only, and the account will be closed.
- The same PAN already used on another account in that app, or bonus abuse flags from multiple accounts on one phone.
- An expired document.
How to fix it
- Read the rejection reason in the app; resubmit only what it asks for.
- Photograph the document flat, in daylight, with all four corners visible.
- If your bank name differs from PAN, add an account that matches, or update the bank record first.
- If KYC stays “pending” beyond the time the app states, contact in-app support with your user ID and the submission date.
Protect your documents
- Upload only inside the app, never by WhatsApp, Telegram or email to an “agent”.
- Never share an OTP, UPI PIN or net-banking password. KYC doesn’t need them.
- Only upload to an app whose terms name a real company. Many apps on this site don’t, and we flag that on each page (for example Rummy Home).
- Mask the first eight digits of Aadhaar where the app allows a masked copy.
Frequently asked questions
Can I withdraw without KYC?
Cash apps that follow standard practice won’t pay out before KYC. An app that offers to skip KYC for a fee is a red flag.
Can I use my father’s bank account?
Usually not. The payout account must match the name on your KYC; a mismatch is a leading cause of failed withdrawals.
My KYC was approved on one app. Does it carry over?
No. Each operator runs its own check, even when apps look alike.
18+ only. Rules vary by state and may change; check whether it is allowed where you are.
