A withdrawal that sits on “pending” for days is the most common complaint about cash rummy apps. Most delays have an ordinary cause you can check yourself. A few are warning signs. Work through these steps in order.
1. Read the exact status
- Pending / under review: the app hasn’t sent the money yet. This is usually a KYC, bonus or risk check.
- Processing / success, but no money: the app says it has paid. Ask support for the UTR or payment reference and check with your bank or UPI app.
- Failed / reversed: the transfer bounced. The amount should return to your app wallet. Check that it did.
2. Check the usual causes
- KYC incomplete or rejected. Most apps need PAN, and some Aadhaar, before the first payout. See KYC problems and fixes.
- Name mismatch. The bank or UPI account must be in the same name as your KYC. A family member’s UPI ID will fail.
- Bonus balance. Only the “withdrawable” or “winnings” line can be sent. Bonus credit has to be played through first. See how bonus wagering works.
- Below the minimum. Once fees are taken off, the amount may fall under the app’s minimum withdrawal.
- Bank downtime. Some co-operative banks don’t accept instant (IMPS) transfers, and banks have maintenance windows. Retry later or use another account in your name.
3. Contact support properly
Use the support channel inside the app, not a number from a social media post. Send one short message:
I requested a withdrawal of ₹[amount] on [date, time]. The status is [pending/processed/failed]. Transaction ID: [ID]. Please confirm whether it is under review, reversed to my wallet or sent to my bank, and share the payment reference if sent.
Keep screenshots of the request, your wallet history, KYC status and every reply in one folder.
4. Signs it isn’t an ordinary delay
- Support asks you to pay a “release”, “tax” or “VIP upgrade” fee first. Genuine apps deduct charges from the payout itself.
- Support moves you to WhatsApp or Telegram, or asks for your OTP or UPI PIN.
- The reason changes every time you ask.
- The app tells you to deposit more to “unlock” the withdrawal.
If any of these happen, stop depositing. Keep your evidence and raise a complaint with your bank about the transactions involved, and use the grievance contact in the app’s terms if one is listed.
5. Prevent it next time
- Complete KYC before your first deposit.
- Make a small test withdrawal as soon as anything is withdrawable.
- Prefer apps with a named operator and written withdrawal rules; compare them in our withdrawal comparison.
Frequently asked questions
How long should a rummy withdrawal take?
There is no single rule. Established operators publish their own timelines, often up to a few working days when a request is under manual review. Treat anything far beyond the app’s stated window as a reason to escalate.
The app says paid but my bank shows nothing. What now?
Ask the app for the UTR or payment reference, then give it to your bank or UPI app support. Without a reference, the money hasn’t verifiably left the app.
Should I pay a fee to release my withdrawal?
No. Requests for upfront fees to release a payout are a common scam pattern.
18+ only. Rules vary by state and may change; check whether it is allowed where you are.
